Meet Jill
Jill’s professional experience spans industries and disciplines. Her career began as a Certified Public Accountant serving clients of the “Big Four” firms. Jill went on to practice law for 15+ years, first as a counselor within a multinational law firm and then as in-house counsel within the biotech industry.
Jill derived immense personal benefit in training to become a life coach, revealing her own dreams to connect authentically and profoundly with others in service to their ability to persevere and thrive. She realized another dream by moving to Hawai'i and creating a space for clients to be introspective while grounding into the energy of the island. She also discovered Reiki and enjoys exploring energy work and studying shamanism. Jill aims to help clients (in person or remotely) connect with that wisdom. She believes there is more magic in our lives than we realize.
Extending counsel to help her clients succeed has been Jill’s lifelong passion, but in 2017, after unexpectedly losing her father, Jill discovered the discipline of life coaching. As part of her grieving process, she explored activities she’d long been drawn to but had put aside in favor of achieving her professional goals in the corporate world. These activities included traveling and reading, as well as working with mediums and energy healers. In these explorations, she happened upon life coaching. Jill trained with Martha Beck’s Wayfinder Life Coaching Program and is a Certified Wayfinder Life Coach. Jill recently decided to follow her passion for connecting with people and has launched her own business, Growing Authentically LLC.
Jill hails from northern Minnesota and has lived in South Bend, London, Minneapolis, and Boston. She currently resides in Pahoa on the Big Island in Hawai'i with her wife. She loves to explore new places and experience nature on the island and in the ocean. She also loves to laugh, learn, and nurture others through her cooking. In addition to life coaching, she is an aspiring tea farmer with over 200 camellia sinensis plants and was amazed to learn that white, green, oolong, and black tea all come from the same plant but are just processed differently. Jill built a labyrinth to be used as a walking meditation and loves to share it with those who work with her in person.
